How to set up your mat and framing styles for room views

Admin -> Room Views -> Framing Styles

Mats and frames are used in Room Views to display your images in a more realistic way.
The size of the mat and frame will influence how large your wall art appears on the wall.

Mats

By Default ips-session comes with 2 default mat sizes a 1" and a 2" white mat and a 'No mat' option.
MatStyles
You can create your own mats, select the width and then the correct colour for your mat.
When you select Framing in a Room View you can now select the correct mat size from the drop down box.

Frame Options

ips-session comes with a built-in selection of common frames.
Framing Options
By default 2 frames have been added to your studio, Modern flat black and Modern flat white. By adding any of the other frames to your studio (select 'Add to studio') they will become available in the Room View frame selection.

Change the name of any frames to match your own frame products or add a frame code for your supplier.

Some frames have a flat profile while some are moulded with bevelled inner edges.
Wooden frames have a wood-like texture.
Clicking on the frame thumbnail will enlarge the image and bring up a description.
Any frames added to your studio will appear before the non-added frames.
The frame thumbnails have a little handle in the top right corner that allows you to manually rearrange them.

To create a custom frame, select -> New Frame
Fill in the new Frame Name and select a colour for the frame. The frame will be added automatically to your selected frames.
Keep in mind these frame examples are only an approximation of the true texture and colour. Always show your clients an actual physical frame sample.

How to use the frames in Room Views

If a product has framing enabled when you created it you will see the option to Show framing in Room View.
Frame selection
Select your mat and frame option. The mat and frame will be correctly sized around your artwork.
Frames come in standard widths from 0.5" to 4" but you can also select a custom width if necessary.
